Americanocentric definition

This article is written almost exclusively using the American definition, which seems to mean every day of official special celebration or commemoration, and includes observations like Mothers Day, and Halloween. The definition used in the UK and Australia is any time away from normal work or school, or travel - what is known in the US as a 'vacation'. 82.44.160.114 (talk) 11:10, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

the article is incomplete ; and , lacking in many respects .It seems to be written by an ignorant person. He must know that AHMADIES are not MUSLIMS. As for as HOLIDAY is concerned , the concept has JEWISH origion.SABAT is according to them is the DAY of rest .Their belief is that the universe was created in six days , and ; on the seventh day ALLAH almighty took rest . In islam , there is virtually no concept of holiday (if holiday is taken to be a day on which no work is performed ). The article needs a lot of research but not from persons like me but from known scholars!....thank you !
