when was that church built? in the middle of hichin

I assume you mean St. Mary's Church, there has been a church there since 792 AD, see http://www.hitchin.net/leisure/stmary/ for a good overview of its history Sjeraj 23:51, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Is Section on Nuclear Plant Spurious ?

I notice that on 10 February 2007 there was the adition of a section on a Nuclear Power Plant 2 miles east of Walsworth by "knowledge tree". It mentions a girl born with an abnormally large posterior, which becomes detached (in the last sentence). I think someone is taking the mick. I was unable to find any mention of a nuclear power plant in the Hitchin area in the Wikipedia list of UK Nuclear Power plants. I notice that this entry by "Knowledge tree" is the only one so far in Wikipedia. I think this section should be removed, unless there is any evidence for a power plant near Hitchin.

Removing section on nuclear Plant

Have contacted Hitchin Library and they have confirmed that there is NO Nuclear Plant near Hitchin consequently removing said section

Short, unsourced article containing little more than puffery about how desirable it is. Propose merging content here, into separate section if necessary, but suburbs are rarely notable in themselves. Rodhullandemu 19:26, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Facebook

For some reason, when adding one's location as Hitchin on Facebook, it links to this page but displays the town as being in Northern Ireland. Any solutions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.201.245 (talk) 16:35, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

What has that got to do with Wikipedia or the Hitchin article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.19.109 (talk) 21:46, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Famous connections

Neither of

'Home of Kane Kramer, inventor of the iPod.'

'Cyclist and author of cycle touring books Harold Briercliffe.'

is a sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.19.109 (talk) 21:42, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Merge

I have suggested that Kingshott School should be merghed here as a non-notable primary, as per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES. Any comments appreciated. CalzGuy (talk) 16:31, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

I agree. Tacyarg (talk) 23:25, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
