Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because it does not copy any content from Science and technology in Japan, is similar in nature to History of science and technology in China and History of science and technology in India articles, and deals with the historical science and technology of the past rather than the contemporary science and technology of today. - 50Ronin (talk) 17:35, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@50Ronin: The A10 criterion covers articles that do not "expand upon, detail, or improve information within the existing article(s)." Since your article contains no prose whatsoever, it is not clear how it expands upon or improves information already within other articles. There is also A3 which covers articles "consisting only of external links, category tags and "See also" sections," which fairly well defines this article. While there may be a need for an article on the History of science and technology in Japan, this present article doesn't appear to begin to fill that need. Although I created article as stub, I am planning to expand article. I have added some information to pre-modern section just now, for example. It should be an improvement now. I'll try to improve it further. 50Ronin (talk) 18:20, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
