I agree
Writing his name in kanji the Japanese way (山本 紘 Yamamoto Hiro) is even more absurd for an American bassist who was born in Seattle; especially when the Japanese Wikipedia writes his name in katakana (ja:ヒロ・ヤマモト) and styles him the way they do with any western name.
