Hilary and Hillary[edit]

Isn't Hilary and Hillary just different spellings of the same name? I guess people often spell Hilaries "Hillary" and vice versa. Shouldn't these two pages be merged? // habj 08:11, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As far as i know Hilary and Hilarius actually come from the greek Ιλάριος, which indeed means cheerful, lively, joyful. I guess this would be a major change on the article so please help me out on this, as i lack experience in editing. // Georgios N. Tsalikis 21:05, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- I agree that Hilary and Hillary should be merged. However, we need separate pages for disambiguation and for the human name. I will keep Hilary as disambiguation, and move Hillary to Hillary (name). - Fayenatic (talk) 16:16, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another user has since moved the name page to Hillary. - Fayenatic (talk) 21:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I moved it again to Hilary (name) to improve clarity. Hillary now redirects here for disambiguation. - Fayenatic (talk) 21:10, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hilary Duff[edit]

Please do not add Hilary Duff to this page, because she is not generally known as just "Hilary". She is already listed on the page Hillary, which contains a general list of people with the name. --Auntof6 (talk) 21:57, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
