June 2012 article expansion[edit]

I spent a fair amount of time adding a history of the trail's development and found that another editor reverted those edits. I think I added some valuable content, but I am of course open to the idea that the additions could stand to be refined, streamlined, or just plain improved. Rather than reverting all edits, it would be nice to get some constructive feedback or help improving the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anotherpioneer (talkcontribs) 16:56, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect coordinates[edit]

The coordinates are incorrect. They lead to a location southeast of the High Trestle Trail Bridge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.153.115.152 (talk) 20:54, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Trestle?[edit]

The article trestle_bridge shows various examples of bridges where the bridge surface is supported by what are called trestles. These trestles are built up of various beams and crossbeams. The bridge in the article High Trestle Trail shows a bridge surface on top of concrete columns. My dictionary defines trestle as: "an open cross-braced framework used to support an elevated structure such as a bridge". Shouldn't the article therefore make clear that the name of the bridge is not supported by the facts? --VanBuren (talk) 10:13, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
