The name of Henry Howard is sourced form the offical announcement of Sheriffs from 1834, not 1830, which was the year given in the article (sorry about the cut and paste error I made when creating the it based on the Cheshire equivalent). Henry Howard would have been High sherrif of Cumberland not Cumbria in 1834 as the post of High Sherrif of Cumbria did not exist until 1974 Penrithguy (talk) 00:33, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have created a page for the High Sherrif of Cumberland and have included Henry Howard and the refeence to the Gazette on it I regret Howard is the only person on the list as I know of no otehrs without doing research Penrithguy (talk)

2005 name[edit]

The Cumberland News says Adam Charles Illingworth Naylor, the London Gazette, which per the Sheriffs Act 1887, is the definitive source says Adam Taylor, see "No. 57598". The London Gazette. 29 March 2005.. The only trace I can find of Naylor in the Gazette is "No. 53858". The London Gazette. 24 November 1994., nor can I find any correction or anything in the 2005 Gazettes see this search. David Underdown (talk) 16:31, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
