Should we add the Korean War Service Medal to the page? Information about the award can be found at https://www.afpc.af.mil/About/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/421898/republic-of-korea-korean-war-service-medal/

Assessment[edit]

A fairly short article, but probably close to full length for such a figure - not everything can have as involved an article as, say, French and Indian Wars. I only question the use of the term "Korean conflict" instead of "Korean War". This may be a result of my ethnocentric public school education, but I do believe that nearly every American of any level of education would know and recognize the event as Korean War. "Korean conflict" smells like some failed attempt at being more PC. LordAmeth 09:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LordAmeth - Using the term "Korean conflict" is more proper instead of using "Korean War" since the U.S. Congress did not declare war. Weaklandjr (talk) 20:50, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vietnam[edit]

Since he was SMMC during most of the hottest time for USMC forces in the Vietnam war, it is odd that there is nothing at all about Vietnam mentioned in this biography. HenryLarsen (talk) 10:45, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
