Birthplace[edit]

I disambiguated Allen Township, Pennsylvania to link to Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, but this may not be correct. At the time Longnecker was born (1820), Allen Township was a single township in Cumberland County. But in 1850, it was split into Upper and Lower Allen Townships. I tried to find more details of his birth location, and ran across a source or two that said he was born near Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. But it turns out that Mechanicsburg borders BOTH Allen Townships. I leave it to editors with better references to pin down the right location. — Gorthian (talk) 07:56, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
