List of chain shops?

There's nothing special about the chain shops in the town. Why are they in there, and who cares? They can be found in nearly every other town in the whole country! I propose that they should be removed and a brief sentence about the shops and restaurants be written in their place. Anyone else agree? Chevymontecarlo 18:26, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Do it! Do it! Do it! No use waiting on Wikipedia. I too recognize a description of a strip mall. Hmm. & I for one, would much rather read about the former list of pubs-about everything what makes Hempstead & its history *different* or fun.

F'rinstance, I'm reeel curious about the H-E-M-P in HEMPysteads name. How and Where did such a shipping thing happen in?

Before it's residents thought of Hempstead as a strip mall, was it ever once a home, some special place for human needs? Were there dark parks, warm pubs, golden memories? Or has Hempenstead gone posh w/placing cars, a "Towne" crass w/ gone-to-fat hookers & heroin smash?

Do odious down-town "clip joints" result from developers' cash?

How about the scabrous- scandal, whispers, the sadly verifiable things

Can Happenstaad write about the same things? The tales out of history, the HempenStanding Ring?

O' tell me what hove did Hempstead hold before the the war? And what berths did it ship therein? Um, has it done with going round to church? Who has it shacked up with since? does it have many births, any favorite sins? Have to have the police round much? And ABOVE ALL- tell me-
