Pruning[edit]

As a user of this page, this is irrelevant to the history of the HCI drive and should be moved to "Korean Emigration":

"There, they established a Koreatown that is today the world's largest, and became an integral part of the economy of inner-city Los Angeles. However, their cultural isolation from other communities, especially the relatively disadvantaged African-American population of South Los Angeles, created tensions that ultimately resulted in the near-total destruction of Koreatown during the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. Miraculously, Los Angeles' Koreatown bounced back, and as of this writing (2005) is one of the city's most vibrant districts."

It is my understanding also that the emigration began a lot earlier, so the causal connection between HCI drive and emigration needs a citation. (Jonfernquest 06:31, 5 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

It's incorrect to say, as the article does, that Park was assassinated by the "secret service." He was killed by the head of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency during a night of drinking. The KCIA head was later executed, I believe.76.106.172.133 (talk) 05:37, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
