The station on the Great Central railway was outside the village at SK 435 633, the line did not run through the village itself. The A617 picks up the old GC trackbed at SK 433 671. Refer to OS 1:25,000 SK46 dated 1960. Some mention should be made that Heath also includes a council housing estate half a mile west of the village at SK 439 665.
