Phrasing[edit]

The phrasing "where he hunted and hid from his enemies" seems kind of POV. How does anyone know he was hiding? Maybe he was just hunting? Seems like someone is reading a lot into that. JettaMann 18:38, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article sounds more like it is about the lodge than the actual person himself, so why does it say "Harry Bennett" rather than Bennett's lodge? I am splitting this article to two pieces: Bennett's Lodge and "Harry Bennett". Stevo D 19:42, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Bennet was an interesting guy"[edit]

I'd remove this. Surely this type of characterization is needless POV and adds nothing to the content of the encyclopedia. DivisionByZer0 (talk) 09:07, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My parents were the first Camp Rangers at Lost Lake ('65-'85) and for the first six or seven years lived in the "big house." We were fortunate to know Bennett's caretake "Pat." Many of the so called "facts" about the place are not true. For example, there is no "central room" where all of the conversations in the house can be monitored. According to Pat, there was never any dynamite under the bridge, "Why would you destroy your only way to drive off of the island?" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldugly (talkcontribs) 03:18, 11 February 2010 (UTC) Just realized I hadn't signed this. Citation needed[edit]

I personally saw the concrete log cabin near Ypsilanti. The 1975 property owner told me about the rumored tunnel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfhollowell (talkcontribs) 16:09, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but what you saw and what someone told you about a rumor cannot be included in a WP article. It fails WP:RS because it is not "based on reliable, published sources" and it fails WP:OR because "Wikipedia does not publish original research. The term "original research" refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and stories—not already published by reliable sources" ClamDip (talk) 16:53, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Later Life?[edit]

What of this guy's later life during the 34 years after he was fired by Henry Ford II? Did he find work, retain his Ford career wealth or did he descend into penury? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.29.79.73 (talk) 18:29, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Backround section[edit]

Is it just me? or does that section seem like a descriptive of part of the 1987 movie Ford, the man and the machine. GoodDay (talk) 09:21, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
