Finnish recording by Harmony Sisters[edit]

The Finnish-language version of this song, Sataman valot (direct translation), by the trio called Harmony Sisters, and translation by Aimo Mustonen, was very popular in Finland before the Second World War.

Polish origin of the song and first version by Irena Santor(!?!?!?)[edit]

I've never seen such a crap on english wiki like in this article.

Irena Santor (born 1934) recorded "Portowe światła" for first time certainly not earlier than 1966 (she started her solo career in 1959, and there's no such record in catalogs of polish Muza from 1962-1965 - Tadeusz Żyliński in his discographical project states, that LP with this song was released in 1966 (entry for Muza XL0311). It is ridiculous to claim, that she could even sing at all in 1937 (born 1934!).

First polish version of it that I've found so far is by Mieczysław Fogg on Syrena Electro label, catalog number SE2035 (released in April 1938).

Article about Wilhelm Grosz states that he wrote Harbour Lights to lyrics by Kennedy, which seems rather natural, since both lived in UK at that time - Henryk Szpilman was living in Poland then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.238.201.91 (talk) 18:56, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
