Original air date[edit]

IP user User:109.77.196.141 has repeatedly changed the original air date of the pilot episode, which aired on Showtime for the first time on April 5. The public relations language indicates that the show will "premiere" on April 26. However, when this issue has arisen in the past (do "preview" air dates count towards the "original air date"?), editors have found that yes, the original air date is when the episode first airs. See Talk:Go_On_(TV_series)#Premiere/Official premiere as an example. -- Wikipedical (talk) 23:06, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your previous edit was terrible. First air date is accurate. I wouldn't have reverted you if you had explained properly and not been a jackass.
You still failed to explain why you deleted "trending down" but I suppose lack of sources is the classic excuse to be lazy and delete anything from Wikipedia without even bothering to explain properly or google for a source. happyish previously trending down. You are a terrible editor, you represent a small part of the many things that are wrong with Wikipedia and you should feel bad about it. If you think this criticism is unfair I'd be less critical of you if you had not been so lazy and rude. If you fix the article it would go to show you made a mistake and were not being deliberately awful. -- 109.77.196.141 (talk) 23:41, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I removed "Trending Down" because that addition was inserted without a reliable source. It is the responsibility of the editor inserting the assertion to provide the source- it's not up to me or anyone else to find the source. Feel free to reinsert that information with proper attribution.
Regarding the rest of your comments about me, please read Wikipedia:Civility and Wikipedia:No personal attacks from start to finish because what you've said here does not belong on Wikipedia. Personal attacks aren't constructive and may lead to sanctions including blocks. Neither of us want that to happen! -- Wikipedical (talk) 03:00, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikipedical: I agree with User:109.77.196.141 mainly because they're right. The episode on April 5th was NOT the series premiere, it was instead a "Sneak Preview" which I have sourced for you. According to multiple websites including both [1] and [2] the series premiere is considered to be on April 26. Tvbythenumbers even called it an "INTERSTITIAL BREAK" and ShowBuzzDaily (which only includes ORIGINAL programming) said that the original airing was on April 26. Technically, Wikipedia isn't supposed to include the ratings for the Sneak Preview, but I made an exception and put them in a separate table because you wanted them. However, I will remove them entirely if you continue to keep reverting. I hope this clarifies the situation for you, feel free to respond with your comments, (and @ me so I can see it) if you have any other questions. Rswallis10 (talk) 21:28, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, @Rswallis10:. The April 5th episode was the pilot episode. Nothing about the April 26th rerun was different or altered. Therefore, the original air date was April 5. The terms "sneak preview" and "series premiere" are PR terms that should have nothing to do with Wikipedia's parameter "original air date." The pilot episode originally aired on April 5. User:Drovethrughosts added a footnote, which is a reasonable compromise if you insist on documenting that the pilot was re-aired. -- Wikipedical (talk) 19:34, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
