This article has one reference presenting citations, and an "External link". The reference, titled Hans Vollenweider (1908-40) - three murders in ten days, has the following content:

"In 1940 Vollenweider was the last person to be sentenced to death in Switzerland. He shot a chauffeur, a postman, and a policeman within 10 days of arrest. He was executed in Sarnen with the Guilloutine.".

The External link states:

"The last civilian execution in Switzerland was carried out by the three-man murderer Hans Vollenweider in the canton of Obwalden. He was arrested on 23.6.1939, and after long trials of the court, his appeal for mercy was finally rejected. He was executed on 18 October 1940 in Sarnen, by means of the guillotine borrowed from Lucerne.".

The evidence of original research is a lack of reliable sources to corroborate most of the information in the article. In fact, verifiable information is restricted to the subject:

1)- killed three people,
2)- was the last person sentenced to death in Switzerland,
3)- his appeal for mercy (clemency) was rejected, and
4)- was executed in Sarnen with a guillotine borrowed from Lucerne.

I might have missed something but according to the reference and external link, the rest of the content in the article amounts to original research, which includes "the judgment was controversial". There is a lack of notability of the subject. Otr500 (talk) 22:48, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
