Reads like a promo[edit]

It reads as packed with factual statements throughout, with no obvious subjective content (at least that I can discern). As of June 2013 this strikes me as one of the best-sourced bios pf a living musician that I have seen on wikipedia - sources include a book published by a university press and major newspapers. The exclamation points and flags at the top now seem misleading and I believe they should be removed: this article does not have "multiple issues" anymore. I intend to remove the tags within a week - but before I do, can someone convince me that they are needed?Brozhnik (talk) 01:31, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article is not sufficiently poorly sourced to merit those tags. There were a couple bare links, so I've fixed them and removed the barelinks warning. The only sourcing issues are on the awards and albums, so I've removed the general tag, and put a tag on each of those sections only. They -- especially "Awards" -- still need to be sourced. Potential appointment to Qatar Phil Orch[edit]

There has been someone entering premature information about Han-na Chang being appointed music director of the Qatar Phil. Orchestra. First of all, the information I have says she was appointed by a vote of members, but that the official naming to the post will not be until Sept. 2013. Let's wait until she is actually in the post for sure, before jumping to conclusions and saying she is music director! The only article I could find on this subject is Cellist Han-na Chang tapped as Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra's music director. This article does not say that she has officially accepted the position, only that she can have it if she decides to accept it. I say we should wait until there is something more definite, especially if it goes into the lede, which is only supposed to be for a current state of affairs, not for predicting future events. --Skol fir (talk) 07:52, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is no longer an issue, as subsequent sources have confirmed Han-na's desire to accept the post. I am no longer opposed to the entry for the Qatar Phil. Orch., as it is now properly sourced, which was not the case earlier. --Skol fir (talk) 19:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

In giving this a general copyedit, I noticed that the 2003 Gramophone Concerto award is not supported by the list at Gramophone Award, although it is mentioned in the Musicworld cite for the whole awards list.
