Is this really independently notable?[edit]

This label is really only used by the band itself, and as such it ends up being just a partial rehash of their discography. This isn't even a specific, semi-distinct subset of their discography, as is the case for Sonic Youth Recordings.

According to this site (I know, which relies on the userbase to have it fully populated), the only release which isn't technically under the band's title is a collaboration with two other artists (Steve Kilbey and timEbandit Powles). 201.190.31.3 (talk) 00:43, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,

Actually, they are just now expanding the label to include other artists. Slow Meadow's debut is releasing on Hammock Music on August 21: http://reviews.headphonecommute.com/2015/07/16/video-premiere-slow-meadow/

This is better. I still have some doubts about how much this label rides on technicalities for existence (eg., it has released signicant records, but since they are the band, can we assert the independent importance of this?), but it's at least not just "the thing that Hammock slaps on their records" anymore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.190.31.3 (talk) 03:02, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
