Victoria[edit]

Should this article be renamed Victoria to fit with the districts identified in the 2016 CBD plan (http://www.hamilton.govt.nz/our-partner-projects/cctp/Documents/CCTP-WEB-Sep-pages-A3-fold.pdf) ie Victoria, Business District and South End? Hamilton North has a number of uses, including a police station at Flagstaff. Alternatively, should it be combined into a single CBD article, which would still be much shorter than the article on the city and be more recognisable as an area to most readers?Johnragla (talk) 18:00, 17 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I now suggest it be renamed Kirikiriroa and be limited to the census area of that name as used in the 2018 census. At present there's a lot of duplication with the Hamilton Central article. Johnragla (talk) 18:20, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Casabella photo[edit]

File:CassabellaLaneHamilton has been in this article since 26 Sep 2010, but has been deleted, seemingly (see Difference between revisions of "Commons:Deletion requests/File:CassabellaLaneHamilton.jpg") because "You agree that you shall not take any step or make any omission that brings the reputation or good standing of the author of the image, Hamilton City Council or Hamilton into disrepute." is incompatible with Commons licenses.

I can't see anything on this page bringing Hamilton into disrepute and can't imagine how the photo could be used that way.

As I don't have a photo exactly the same, I'm not sure which of my 3 photos to use, so I've included all 3. Feel free to delete the 2 you think contribute less to the article, or replace all 3 with one more like the one which has been deleted. Johnragla (talk) 03:36, 2 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
