I think there must be at least one ship of this name missing. In 1914 records show a group of girls were taken on a tour of 3 Royal Navy ships including HMS Canterbury. That bis a year before the launch date of the last ship listed. 87.194.10.238 (talk) 10:20, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The ships listed are the only HMS Canterburys to have ever served in the navy. The 'HMS Canterbury' in question could have been a stone frigate (I'll try and check this), a non commissioned auxiliary, (an 'HMT' or other), or the dockyard at which the present HMS Canterbury was under construction.
