My Father Served on HMS Bluebell (K80)[edit]

My father, John D. Hurrell, served aboard the Bluebell at the time she was sunk, yet was not listed as a survivor because he was not aboard at the time. He had suffered frostbite while on watch, and was recuperating ashore when the Bluebell went down. My father passed away in February, 2001, after having lived in the United States since the 1950s. I have very little other information about the Bluebell, her service, her crew or her sinking. On 23 September 2007 I edited this comment to remove a statement I cannot verify. - MH Hurrmic 19:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Uncle Served on HMS Bluebell (K80)[edit]

My uncle, Maurice Samuel Perkins, was also on Bluebell. He was a signalman and 18 years old. Unfortunately he was one of those who died that day. (Ferrymansdaughter (talk) 13:55, 4 December 2008 (UTC)).[reply]
