Member of Felis?[edit]
I suspect that this star was a member (the brightest?) of the now-obsolete constellation of Felis, which is why it has been given its proper name by the IAU. However, I have been unable to establish this one way or the other. Cuddlyopedia (talk) 10:59, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- The Chair of the WGSN has confirmed to me in private email that this star was indeed the brightest in the constellation. I have noted this in the article, albeit with a 'citation-needed' tag. Cuddlyopedia (talk) 09:11, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
