GPS coordinates?[edit]

Any objections to adding a coordinates column? Any preference about the format? I'm happy to contribute some values. Thanks. 2.100.104.223 (talk) 07:12, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me. Metric please. I started the article, but Paulitzer has done most of the work. Edwardx (talk) 09:49, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I added the hickory in Greenwich, which is the only one I know for now. I plan to go around and visit all the other ones in my spare time, using the TimeOut book as a reference.
Feel free to play around with the layout and format, it's the least intrusive I would come up with, but I'm not wedded to it. 2.100.104.223 (talk) 21:28, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, GPS coords sound like a useful addition Paulitzer (talk) 07:36, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Releasing a map in the public domain?[edit]

Hi there. As I keep researching and adding coordinates and pictures, I wonder what's the best platform, in terms of being philosophically close to Wikipedia, to collect them in map format. Would OpenStreetMap's Umap be a reasonable choice? I would then like to link that to the Wikipedia article, so I welcome suggestions in that sense as well - "See also" section? Thanks. 2.100.104.223 (talk) 07:08, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably right, but this also isn't the best place to ask. Primefac (talk) 07:50, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Oooh I just found a couple of interesting pages! I'll start from there.

Order of trees[edit]

I have added colour-coding for deceased and limited-access trees, I hope it's a welcome change. I meant to ask, is there a natural order of the trees? If not, I propose alphabetical and pushing all deceased trees at the bottom. The reason is that it will be difficult to get their pictures. Any views? Thanks. 92.4.165.90 (talk) 07:18, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've pushed the dead at the bottom. 92.4.165.90 (talk) 22:49, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
...and the less-than-accessible ones. 92.4.165.90 (talk) 17:42, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks great Botsparkles (talk) 13:16, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Really not sure about that. Botsparkles (talk) 13:35, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
