Photo would be nice

This article needs a photo. I don't have a photo with full public rights, and I am not sure about the ones you find on online magazines (mostly don't know how to find the source). Can anyone help? Lag 13:38, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Schooling

I removed the section stating that his school was a 'single sex school'. It may well be true, but I disliked the way someone included that as if to allude something sinister went on there, just because he is gay. It's not relevant to the article in the slightest and does not make a blind bit of difference to anything, IMO. 213.218.238.225 19:58, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Church of Ireland?

I'm surprised to read that he is a "member" of any church, since in his autobiography he says that he had only a very brief relationship with religion, and that as a child. Is the contributor sure Norton is a member of a church? It seems "so" unlike him. -88.110.176.254 09:06, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

On this island as in many other parts of the world many people claim to be Protestant, Catholic or whatever but aren't religious. Ireland is full of such people, heck i'm one of them. Unless he has publically said that he left the Church of Ireland and is actively agnostic or Atheist then it should remain. I myself was a member of the Church of Ireland but am publically Atheist. Father Ted

The biography section i want to bring back as i think its important that the fact he was mugged and left for dead and how hard he said it was to grow up a Protestant never mind a gay in Ireland are put back in. Mabuska (talk) 14:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Mugging

i think that this article should include the fact that whilst graham was being mugged years ago he was stabbed and nearly died[1] Risteard B 00:03, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

If you're going to add it, at least add it in a coherent fashion. When I read it I thought someone had vandalized the article writing that he was dead. IMDB is also not a reliable source. Ryokashi (talk) 22:27, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Picture

So does anybody ever plan on changing that picture? It's more than a decade old and he frankly looks much better now than he did in '04. My opinion, obviously. I don't contribute to Wikipedia anymore, the bureaucracy ruined it for me, but it would be more appropriate to have an image of 2016 Graham, wouldn't it? I was under the impression that images of people "in their prime" so to say, were reserved for the deceased. The Cake is a Lie T / C 02:39, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

So Graham Norton

  Should the section on his television career include the fact that he presented a programme called "So Graham Norton"? If this were just another name for the Graham Norton show (and I shall admit I do not know as I do not remember seeing either programme) it could go in the article. DJ

I get that Norton is a radio presenter but is he really a DJ?

The article doesn't elaborate on this and at it seems like undue emphasis to mention it in the lede. I'd like to request it be removed from the lede or for the article text to be updated to make it clearer that beyond being a radio presenter he is also a DJ. -- 109.76.241.81 (talk) 14:16, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

He's essentially a radio DJ with a weekly Saturday morning slot on BBC Radio 2. I'm really not sure if he has done any other work as a "radio presenter" (perhaps with Eurovision?), so I think that could be removed from the lead. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:34, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

Sexuality

It doesn't state that he is openly gay, it's asking a question about the effects of "openly gay celebrities such as Julian Clary and Graham Norton". The choice of Clary as a the other example, along with the context of the book, suggests that it's really referring to people who are flamboyantly camp, who act in a stereotypically "gay" way in the media. There are plenty of celebrities who make no secret of being gay, but who do not play up to such stereotypes -- they are not mentioned in the question, but the two best known camp British celebrities are. The author of the book presents no citation for Norton being gay, and I suspect it might be just an assumption based on his personal style. Not, perhaps, and unreasonable assumption, but I would only consider someone to be "openly gay" if they have at some time specifically stated that they are, rather than just dropping hints and innuendos. OK, I've found some better references that actually back up his being gay with quotes and information, rather than referring to him as a "gay celebrity". The first of those is definitely a poor source. The other two, coming from the same online news site, lack the authority of a published textbook. I'd prefer the current source over any of them. I don't agree with your assumptions about the author's decision to use Norton as an example of an openly gay man. Exok (talk) 18:12, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

I get that it needs to be mentioned somewhere but the single solitary sentence "Norton is openly gay" lacks context, and it might be better if it was mentioned as part of his presentation style rather than as a single point in his personal life without any context. Any context would be good, he talked about his relationships and sometimes lack of relationships often enough on his show. IP addition of unsourced citizenship
