I'm pretty sure this is a Gladiolus. However, the descriptions seems to be a little off. Besides, Abyssinian gladiolus is a common name and not a scientific name.--Lenticel (talk) 06:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

According to the World checklist of Monocotyledons [1] (by Kew Botanical Gardens) Gladiolus callianthus Marais, 1973 is a synonym of Gladiolus murielae Kelway, 1932 . JoJan (talk) 18:40, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
