SNSD isn't the only one who sung this song[edit]

The song was originally sung by the writer Lee Seung-Chul in 1989, and Maya sung it in 2005. The K-Pop group Girls' Generation (SNSD) ISN'T the original. I modified the leading part of this article and copied some references which can prove them from the equivalent article in Korean Wikipedia. The original version by Lee is popular among the South Korean people who were in the young generation during 1980s. The current article is needed to be improved, so I added {{music-stub}}. Usually, I haven't edited articles about K-Pop, maybe it'll be difficult to improve this article more. --Yes0song (talk) 09:19, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added Gil Hak-mi (길학미)'s version. --Yes0song (talk) 05:26, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The versions (including the original version, remade versions, concert live versions, etc.) sung by Lee Seung-chul were packaged in many albums or singles (including both his own works and compilations)[1]. I didn't add the info and the current version of this article in Korean Wikipedia doesn't contain it, either. --Yes0song (talk) 05:26, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chart placement[edit]

There is a problem with the article's claim that the song placed at number 5 on "Korea's official chart" (listed as Gaon in the table). The source used is the Gaon website's Girls' Generation search results. The search function no longer exists so of course the link is broken, however if you look at the URL, it doesn't appear that it ever went to search results for Girls' Generation, as the search term isn't nearly long enough to contain "소녀시대". Additionally, the reference claims the information was retrieved in 2007. The Gaon charts did not exist in 2007, so the song could not have placed on that chart, nor could the website have been searched then. I checked the existing chart at that time (RIAK), and there is no record of this song charting in November 2007 (their album is #2 and "Into the New World" is #32). So I'm removing the claims about the song charting at number 5 on Gaon, since it's obviously untrue. Maybe it placed on something at number 5, but it definitely wasn't Gaon, and it doesn't appear to have been RIAK, either. I'm also removing the music show award claims, as they are sourced to SM Entertainment's own website, which is very much not an allowed source for a claim like that. If you can find reliable sources for either of these claims, then the info can be added back. The only Wikipedia-accepted music chart for 2007 is the RIAK.
