Mix-up SITE and PERIOD/CULTURE persists[edit]

Teleilat Ghassul, a site in Jordan, is the type-site for a Chalcolithic culture and phase identified over a much larger territory, certainly in Israel and the Pal. territories, maybe elsewehere too (S Syria?). The article makes a melange of the two. Any page whose TOPIC is not clearly defined is a mess. Suggestions? ArmindenArminden (talk) 08:15, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sources in introductory section[edit]

Hello all,

The introductory section is based on the entry "Ghassulian culture" in Britannica online, someone just needs to add the proper references. This article is very rudimentary and, in parts, not very accurate, so I've decided to take it as a personal project to improve it. Khayyam 77 (talk) 14:39, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again,

A quick question for all you copper-age fans: although I'm conducting extensive searches on the web for reliable sources to use in this article, my main source, although superb (an authority on the subject and a highly respected professor of archaeology in the Tel-Aviv university), is rather outdated - 1980. Archaeology is an accumulative discipline, so..... should I be relying on it as my only source for some of the material I intend to add to this article, or shouldn't I? Thanks Khayyam 77 (talk) 09:30, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dates[edit]

There seem to be 2 conflicting dating systems for the Chalcolitic and Ghassulian cultures - one old, one newer, supported by C14 dating. Working on it.... Khayyam 77 (talk) 21:28, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
