This article gives two dates of birth, which is right? 12:50, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Correction to military education/courses attended[edit]

As noted in the change history White attended courses specifically designed for National Guard officers and not the full courses offered at CGSC or the War College. ~~In the case of CGSC it was a truncated one year course, at the time White attended the college was a two year program~~ (See Harry P. Ball Colonel US Army ret. Of Responsible Command: A History of the Army War College The Alumni Association of the US War College 1983 ISBN 0-961-33010-4). (Corr. 1928 was year the 2 year course was reinstated per my reference, I read article dates wrong, corrected article change, however I'm pretty sure I have a source that describes the Adjutant General's from the NG units as taking a truncated course and will add if I find it)I believe also that the official Army letter referenced in The Jungleeers makes clear that it was a single course at the War College and not the full course of study, it would have been very unusual for a National Guard officer to have been selected for the entire course (again see Ball).
