Inhibition of bicarbonate secretion[edit]

Please provide a source for the following sentence, if you want it back in the article - I do not believe that this statement is true and it is not derived from the source given: NSAIDs inhibit mucus and bicarbonate secretion, and thus by diminishing the gastric mucosal barrier, make the stomach lining more vulnerable to damage.Iridos 03:00, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More Protection Methods[edit]

Correct me if I am wrong, but i though that there were five main methods through which the stomach can protect itself i.e. Mucous layer, bicarb, epithelial tight junctions, prostoglandins and the ability of quick regeneration.
