The Rival's Arrival name change[edit]

We can't be sure that The Spirit Egg was the result of a name change from The Rival's Arrival, Rival's Arrival could've possibly been pulled for a future date. Since what's listed here as the summary is unrelated to the summary on the Disney/ABC press for "The Rival's Arrival," which is where Wendell's girlfriend turns out to be Conor's archenemy on the solo tour, whereas Spirit Egg's summary is that Mondale's Spirit Egg got swiped - I think these are totally different episodes. And the Disney/ABC press doesn't always update immediately after a change happens to an episode - as we saw with The Gaming Club and The Puddin' Party, where those episodes traded their air dates - The Puddin' Party was originally scheduled for July 29, while The Gaming Club was originally scheduled for August 5, but their air dates got switched, but I recall the press saying that The Puddin' Party was scheduled for July 29, something like that. I believe they're just showing The Spirit Egg instead of The Rival's Arrival, it's possible an episode can be delayed for airing on an undetermined date, as we can see with The 7D episode "The Rock of Sages", where it was originally planned to premiere on January 22, 2015, but was delayed and not until now have we found out that it will air sometime in September. Also, Zap2It listing The Rival's Arrival, they probably haven't updated to Disney's new schedule, because TV listings aren't always 100% accurate on air dates. - EvilLair (✉ | c) 22:35, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Boogie guest name source[edit]

Non-notable guests[edit]

Please note that guest stars that are listed in the episode summaries should have some press coverage to show they are notable. There are plenty of actors that don't even have an article here and thus are questionable in listing there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:02, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct. Non-main cast should have at least a guest star credit or higher (eg, special guest star), which is the case here and how it's always worked. Can you bring in the sources to justify adding these actors that do not have pages such as Paula Sorge and Boogie? I'm not talking about cite episode but ones where they highlight the guest's role. Do you have a news article that talks about the episode and lists Paula Sorge. We need sources like the one for Joseph Garrett: THIS Otherwise they are just up and coming actors with no notability in themselves, playing bit parts such as Kid #1. This isn't meant to be IMDb. The ones listed by EvilLair about the Disney XD Press photos are borderline, but if they are not even listed there then they are questionable. Some of the starring cast themselves don't have articles and don't meet even WP:GNG for an article let along WP:NACTOR and we do list them in the series article. Guest stars are the same, if they get that credit or higher they have a significant role in that particular episode and should be listed in that episode where they appear. That should be sufficient, shouldn't need to do an notability evaluation as to whether or not a particular actor meets WP:NACTOR to list as guest starring. I don't see how WP:TVCAST applies as that applies to cast lists in the main series article. And even then we still do list non-notable main cast for pretty much every tv series extant. Credits as "kid #1" don't usually get "Guest star" credit as they are generally background with lines. Geraldo Perez (talk) 01:31, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, it's probably acceptable for these shows as the list of guest characters is fairy short. I'm just used to the Disney XD cartoons (e.g The 7D, Star vs. the Forces of Evil) where they have lists of additional voices that can reach in the tens per episode and there it does not make sense to list every guest star credited down to Kid #1, but just to highlight the most notable ones. One of the tells for insignificance of a role is a role name (kid #1), not a character name (John Smith). The most role-named actors get is co-starring and we shouldn't list actors with that credit as that is a minor role and credit. Cartoons generally just list additional voices and don't give much indication of significance with a graduated set of credits like live-action series generally do. I can see where the producers don't help by tagging what they think are significant roles that some other evaluation is necessary to keep the lists reasonable.  Not done. Unreliable site with tweets from an unverified Twitter account is not a reliable source. We need a reliable source to proof that the series is over. "The DJs" and "The Detective"[edit]

Just making a note that The Futon Critic, which likely gets its production codes from Disney ABC Press for Disney Channel and Disney XD series, has no production code for "The DJs" and has "The Detective" as #211. However, Copyright Office has #211 for "The DJs" and #212 for "The Detective," so I've made the change accordingly. The only production code Copyright Office doesn't have is #205: The Protégé.
