Friso-Saxon languagesFriso-Saxon dialects

  • read the article: "Friso-Saxon .. is a group of .. dialects ... They are dialects of Low German/Low Saxon that .."
  • version history shows:
"Neronno moved page Friso-Saxon dialects to Friso-Saxon languages: Classified by ALGEMEEN NEDERDUITSCH EN FRIESCH DIALECTICON DOOR JOHAN WI KLER is a own language group".
"JOHAN WI KLER" is Johan Winkler; his book is from 1874; and in part I, p. 5 he speaks of Friso-Saxon dialects (Dutch: friso-saksische tongvallen):
"Deze laatsten vormen de zoogenoemde friso-saksische tongvallen, die zoowel in Duitschland (Oldenburg, Oost-Friesland) als in Nederland (Groningen) voorkomen."
