This article is a mess. For one thing, the firm of Turner & Dahnken was founded in California in 1901. How a guy born in New York in 1897 managed to go into business in California at the age of four is not explained, but would surely be the main subject of the article had it actually happened. In fact, Frederick Dahnken of Turner & Dahnken was born in Antioch, California, on February 17, 1868.

Whether Dahnken is significant enough to warrant a Wikipedia article is for someone else to decide. The firm was regionally significant in the theater business, and became part of one of the world's largest movie theater companies, Fox West Coast Theatres, so perhaps the firm deserves an article with a bit of biographical material about Dahnken and his partner James T. Turner (also born in Antioch, on June 25, 1873) included.

I have no idea how to make the references Wikipedia uses, and don't have time to write an article myself in any case, but if some Wikipedian wants to write one, or incorporate some information about Turner & Dahnken into the (currently rather sketchy and weak) article about Fox Theatres, a good start will be found on pages 588-591 of "The History of Contra Costa County, California" published in 1917 and available at Google Books:

As for this article, I'd just as soon see you chuck it and start over. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.52.146.205 (talk) 22:05, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
