Accent

Anybody know what kind of accent he has? It's not cockney for sure. Is it Estuary? I'm just curious.Three-Tail 01:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

He has an english accent but I think he hides it when he did the Spiderwick Chronicle. The commercial says it all! —Preceding unsigned comment added by OhAraDear (talkcontribs) 16:06, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Of course he has an English accent, but there are many accents in England. Freddie has a similar accent to me, not sure if it is classed as Estuary. I usually just define it as Southern England. Sammo132 14.21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

It's a toned-down version of received pronunciation which is pretty common in the south of England. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.25.67.203 (talk) 13:01, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Yes he has an English voice. Cornstalks (talk) 04:42, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Picture

With a policy about non-free photos like that you might as well not have any pictures at all. Because the chances of getting alot of pictures that aren't screenshots, promotional, press, etc. are very slim.

I'll put one in if nobody can find one. But the picture will probably have to be non-free.70.54.3.78 08:55, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I reverted your edit; you did not add an image to the field, and it came up a red link reading "javascript;;". Please be advised that photos that are copyrighted or non-free will be removed; until a free-use image is available (which does happen), it would be best not to try our luck. María (críticame) 01:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I know, sorry about that. I was screwed it up and didn't know how to fix it. And the choice is quite simple. This isn't about non-free or free pictures, this is simply do you want pictures. If Wikipedia only wants free pictures, than that's the same as saying no pictures. If pictures are needed, then non-free ones will have to do, or at least until a free one is found. Look at Freddie Highmore Online, I'm sure there's something there.70.54.3.78 08:55, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

No, I'm afraid there isn't. "Non-free" images will not do, unfortunately, and will be deleted. María (críticame) 12:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Then this article will remain poor quality, as will all of Wikipedia. If the quality of this article is to be improved, then get over it and use a non-free image. Do it until you find a free image. That's the best solution.70.54.3.78 19:37, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

This discussion is no longer about the article in question and is therefore off topic; it would be more suitable to voice your concerns at another place, such as Wikipedia:Village pump. María (críticame) 19:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Okay fine. But is there at least a way to shrink that placeholder thing or something? Just so there isn't a giant gap between the subtitle and the text.

That's normally how articles look when they have a short lead, and the image is at normal size. When/if the lead is expanded as the article grows, the space will be less apparent. María (críticame) 01:31, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

How about using the image of him from Charlie and the Chocolate factory found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2005CharlieBucket.JPG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.105.214.126 (talkcontribs) 01:15, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

No, a copyrighted promotional image (or any other non-free photo for that matter) cannot be used for a living person since a free photo of Highmore could be taken, found, or permission could be obtained for an existing photo. - kollision (talk) 01:37, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Taskmaster?

Why was the reference to his 8-episode appearance on Taskmaster USA removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.27.104.216 (talk) 12:55, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Autism

Has Freddie found it difficult to play an autistic person? Where does he get his inspiration to play a high functioning autistic person. He certainly does a good job. Nanatari (talk) 00:37, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Yes he does. I do not know the answer to your question. Cornstalks (talk) 04:43, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Personal Life

Can we add the fact that he is godfather of Vera Farmiga's son? (It's mentioned on her page) Lisztomaniac 16:27, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

@Lisztomaniac: The source used in Vera's article doesn't stat Freddie Highmore is the godfather in what's written, but in the podcast Freddie says he is. I haven't been to find if podcasts are reliable or not. Best to find an alternative source which is quite easy with what you are wanting to add. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 19:37, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
