Untitled[edit]

The notability of Frank Bren is obvious by simply doing a search online. His major historical contributions have been as a scholar (specifically, of the history of Polish Cinema, in his book published by University of Illinois Press, and of the history of Hong Kong Cinema in his book published by Scarecrow Press). These aren't lightweight, fluffy publications, but scholarly works with information not found anywhere. (I can vouch specifically for his book on Hong Kong Cinema, which reaches back into the history of Hong Kong Cinema like no other book I've come across. It's also the only book with a contribution on Hong Kong actress Esther Eng.) In terms of other contributions, he is also an actor (who has had a couple well-known roles) and also a playwright. Do a search online and his notability I think is obvious. FredZed 02:09, 4 October 2007 (UTC) I'll also note that Frank Bren has already been mentioned in other Wikipedia entries... Recurring characters of Neighbours, Hating Alison Ashley (film), Connie Chan Po-chu. FredZed 03:02, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
