Oddly enough, in English they play an extra large one division tournament for the WSC, whereas in French they actually limit the number of players to a relatively small number. While 274 played in 2006, that's a pretty small tournament by duplicate standards. In the big tournaments you can get up to 1000 players replaying the same game at the same time.

The qualification is also done by country rather than by world ranking, so a player ranked 100th in the world might not qualify for one of the 270 places, whereas someone ranked 1000th or even 10,000th might do. Mglovesfun 23:56, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Points for letters[edit]

It would be interesting if this article could tell what points one gets for playing different letters in French. In English one gets five points for a K, but would one get more than this in French Scrabble as the K is a rare letter in French?Vorbee (talk) 16:25, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
