Below are answers to frequently asked questions about the corresponding page Frédéric Chopin. They address concerns, questions, and misconceptions which have repeatedly arisen on the talk page. Please feel free to change this material in light of new discussion.
Q1: Why is Chopin described as a "Polish composer" in the lead (first paragraph)?
Q2: Why doesn't this article include more information on Chopin's sexuality?
A2: Opinions on Chopin's sexuality, particularly as to whether he was homosexual, are equivocal or absent in the majority of secondaryreliable sources. Since this article is a featured article, it is required to utilize only "high quality" sources; such sources do not generally give a direct declaration on whether Chopin was homosexual or not. See this request for comment for further information.

This is great by me, many thanks; I would just slightly amend the answer to q.2 to "Opinions on Chopin's sexuality, and specifically as to whether he was homosexual, are equivocal or absent in the majority of secondaryreliable sources." 'Ambiguous' sounds as if they were vague, or avoiding the issue - but I think they can accurately be described as 'equivocal' - they in effect say ' it's possible, but there's no way of meaningfully assessing.' - --Smerus (talk) 16:00, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to both of you—I've amended it per Smerus's suggestions and am adding it to the talk page now. Aza24 (talk) 20:48, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
