Fontana Distribution[edit]

Fontana is still active as the Fontana Distribution unit of Universal Music Group, still using the classic Fontana logo. Steelbeard1 (talk) 10:39, 10 September 2010 (U==

Fontana's Classical Side[edit]

Something needs to be said about how Philips used the Fontana label to issue the best of their older back-catalog classical repertoire. This included the excellent Beethoven cycle by Konwitschny with the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Handel Organ Concertos with Kohler, various Mozart and Haydn works from Szymon Golberg, Werner Haas's recordings of Chopin and a complete Nozze di Figaro from Karl Boehm and the VSO. Much of this material was so good it has remained in the catalog in other guises - notably re-re-issued on the Berlin Classics Label.82.43.131.168 (talk) 20:35, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
