Radio One - Myth?[edit]

See this BBC page, which specifically states that "Flowers in the Rain" was not the first track played on the station, and that it was in fact Johnny Dankworth's "Beefeaters". 86.132.142.14 01:00, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Funny that, because that's exactly the same page that I linked to. When I read it, it said that FITR was the first complete record played and that the Dankworth track was just Tony Blackburn's signature tune, and was not an entire track. But in any case, that is why I used speech marks around the word "first" in order to show that the word "first" might be disputed.
The reference is also included on the BBC Radio 1 page and The Move page, so I think it is reasonably safe to include it here. MurphiaMan 17:36, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Irony[edit]

The irony of the Harold Wilson/Lady Falkender ruling is of course that he did have an affair with her. 121.217.234.54 (talk) 07:03, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I saw online somewhere that Nicky played on this single too. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Johnalexwood (talk) 20:48, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
