Notability? And smells like "fake news."[edit]

"The Legend Of Fillmore Slim:" In his own mind. He is well known in the Bay Area for being "a character." Every neighborhood has one. He sometimes played covers in no-cover dives. A fun and chronic if not obsessive self-promoter. His records never charted, seemingly not even close. Got a record deal with Fedora Records, who specialize in old no-name bluesmen for history and posterity. Had other non-notable albums published. Won a local blues club "award." Took selfies and published them online. Empty claims about an aborted movie. Was interviewed in the blaxploitation "comic" movie American Pimp, trailer: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x57x7g7 . Posted unbearable near-gibberish videos (28 views on one) on YouTube. Self-published a 500 page auto-biography (very mixed reviews). Five years prison times for being a fraud (synonyms: · fake · sham · pretender · hoodwinker · masquerader · trickster · phony) (for a fake passport) and another time as a pimp. Are we to believe his self-promotions? Perhaps our authors just forgot to mention the prison time(s), etc? This wiki article smells like fake news.

Online search: big, impressive flashy wrapper. Contents? I don't think they meed wiki standards. Reliable sources? I don't think they meed wiki standards. (And highly contradictory.) Accomplishments? A)Similar to most good club blues musicians. B)Created local self-celebrity and mythology.

I nominate this article for deletion. (Even if it were all true, where's the beef?) A long lifetime of flamboyance and self promotion may be enough to establish self-verifying legends, and for the US presidency, but not Wikipedia. Does anybody have any reasoning to the contrary?
