Be Safe[edit]

I believe that Wikipedia's style-book, like most encyclopedias', says "safe-deposit box", not "safety-deposit box", which makes no sense. The boxes are in large safes, or vaults. People deposit items in there to keep them safe. There's no connection to "safety". Other sources say "safety deposit" results from shifting the "de" in "deposit" to "safe", and then saying it again when getting to the second word. It's an error of imprecision. The inability of Wikipedia to flag and fix, with a mere robot, common (in the disparaging sense of the word "common") usage mistakes such as this is why I never give you money.
