Untitled[edit]

I don't understand why someone is disputing the neutrality of this article, its an accurate account of the film, the reasons why it has a cult fan base and the reasons why it is not mainstream.

it has a cult fan base cause it is the worst movie ever made. its so bad its funny! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.155.189.88 (talk) 01:22, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right after revision 318518426 an editor removed the entire Reception section and various bits about the "cult status". The article was written in quite a jokey sarcastic style, and we know the film is "so bad it's great" (the words used on The Blizzard of Odd if I recall correctly) but there aren't the sources to back it up so I don't think I can justify reverting the deletions. So making note here of quite a large deletion that could potentially be restored with any kind of a decent source to back it up. -- Horkana (talk) 00:21, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's the worst film of all time. FACT! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.156.105.64 (talk) 23:29, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mikey Graham[edit]

not even sure this should be on here. while it may be bad, it may also not be worth having on here. Boils (talk) 03:38, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a low budget movie. Can even be considered an amateur movie. For that it actually is not bad. Just because the actors aren't professionals and because the set isn't a Hollywood filmset does not mean, that people can't discuss, document and watch it. Blizzard of Odd[edit]

This film was "reviewed" on an RTE television programme called the Blizzard of Odd, in which the presenter Colin Murphy described it as "so bad it's great". As best I can recall he explained it was made as a promotional piece for the lead actor who wished to emulate his idols and take his martial arts skills to the screen. The programme noted how he had emulated the moves of Jean Claude Van Damme, doing the splits across two chairs. The lead actor did later gain a minor role in the Jackie Chan film the Medallion. Without a citation and a refresher for my memory this is mostly speculation but there may be other sources to back this up, and I just wanted to write something quickly and hope to help improve the article sooner or later. -- Horkana (talk) 00:13, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Useless RTE have taken down the Blizzard of Odd archive so the best I could manage was this old page that mentions the film is going to be reviewed in that episode. http://web.archive.org/web/20040805085322/www.rte.ie/tv/blizzardofodd/whatsin.html -- Horkana (talk) 19:18, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More sources[edit]

Everything2 has an article on Fatal Deviation. It fits with everything I've seen and heard about the film and has far more detail than would survive in Wikipedia without citations from more reputable sources. Other sources have more information about Fatal Deviation but I get the sneaking suspicion a lot of this was all difficult to source anecdotal information that was probably deleted from the Wikipedia article. -- Horkana (talk) 23:38, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cracked.com article on Fatal Deviation describing it as Irelands worst and only Kung Fu film. -- 93.107.157.82 (talk) 00:44, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Please note WP:FILMPLOT. The plot section should be kept between 400-700 words approximately. It should definitely not exceed a thousand words.[1] This film really doesn't need a very long plot section. -- 109.79.176.37 (talk) 02:36, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
