Question[edit]

Doesn't anyone know that "Faces of Evil" is the name for a CD-i game?

Is this needed?[edit]

It seems this boils down to "DC is doing themed covers on most of its line in January." Something that DC has done in the past - the "Hero mug-shot" month and the "Comic title as part of the cover art" month spring to mind.

I cannot see how this is either notable or much more than a table of data.

My understanding is that it is:
  • A series of four one-shots focusing on four villains (it is explicitly stated that some are designed to reposition the characters for a leading role in later stories).
  • An "event" (crossover storyline?) that deals with the aftermath of Final Crisis looking at how the impact of evil winning is felt across the DC Universe. (Emperor (talk) 21:06, 31 December 2008 (UTC))[reply]
hrm...
The second point sounds like the writers were instructed to have loosely themed stories, not a coherent "event". This also matches with the comments that Action Comics, Superman, Nightwing, Batman, and Detective Comics deal more with their own internal continuities as opposed to an "event" story line.
The Four one shots are, at best, primers for other series, at least two of which have been pointed to: Justice League (Prometheus) and Solomon Grundy. Again, there isn't anything pointing to the stories being entwined.
That sounds like a stretch for a coherent article. - J Greb (talk) 23:58, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
