Removal of plot material[edit]

I've removed the long summaries of the tables of contents of each edition of this series and replaced them with a more appropriate summary of the editions. I did this primarily for WP:PLOT, which tells us that we only need summary desciprtions. Further, the summaries included few actual facts other than the Tables of contents of the editions; the references weren't at all meaningful and were instead references to previous publications of the individual works. -- Mikeblas (talk) 15:58, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

**Decowen has a valid point. While Mikeblas may have detected problems in some of the details, the recent deletion of 45,545 characters that follow the entry’s third sentence appears to be vandalism and should be reverted. While "removed plot summaries" is cited in the edit history, there seem to be no plot summaries or story plots in the article before. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page, rather than highlight all matter post-third sentence and then click delete. Rather than nuanced editing, this is random chopping. The problem here is that all of the editors who have contributed reasons for this series’ notability (including its famed contributors like Neil Gaiman and Joyce Carol Oates; key awards in speculative fiction like the World Fantasy Award and the Shirley Jackson Award) have had their citations removed, and the article shrunk to a stub.

If the tone is biased, selectively highlight lines for deletion. If the sources are unhelpful, please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. 216.7.225.78 (talk) 23:51, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gutting of Page[edit]

This article has been reduced from a detailed piece relating to an award winning anthology series to nothing more than a publishing blurb. If edits of this nature are considered acceptable then Wikipedia is simply a bland bibiliography.

The authors contributing to the series are award winning authors from around the globe. That is what made this series so exceptional. The removal of virtually all text other than the barest of publication details should not be allowed to stand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Decowen (talkcontribs) 22:13, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Decowen: I agree, I have undone the removal: there is plenty of room for trimming in this version, but a complete removal is excessive. Sadads (talk) 14:20, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is a lot of overblown or overemphasized information, that I am in the process of trimming. However, there are also a number of things that can be kept, so I am going to help remaster these hopefully. Sadads (talk) 14:43, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
