Splitting proposal[edit]

Pings: @Normchou and Amigao: I propose that the section List of affected companies be split into a new page called List of companies affected by Executive Order 13959. The list really distracts from the content of the article. To me, it is common sense that it should be a stand alone list. Sungodtemple (talk) 18:46, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sungodtemple: My understanding is that the new administration is reviewing the previous one's overall approach regarding China, so the list will likely remain the same and won't become longer. That said, I have no qualms about the proposed split—just provide a wikilink if you choose to do it. Normchou💬 19:11, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sungodtemple: As Normchou mentioned, this list is not likely to become longer in the near future and so it won't add much value to drop it into stand-alone article at this stage. However, I would propose that the list be reformatted into a better-looking table. - Amigao (talk) 21:10, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see. This page does get hundreds of page views per day though, so I'll wait for further input. Sungodtemple (talk) 13:16, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I Disagree, obviously the list is not that long and doesn't have enough value to be an independent article. This article is a short article, and part of a short article, can't single-handedly have enough value to be an independent article. Also since it's been more than one week, I will remove the split template. thanks. The Stray Dog Talk Page 00:33, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
