Reference List[edit]

This list should be reconsiled with list in Lev Landau's page. The other books on that page should be added here, and the ISBN numbers should be listed on both pages. The ISBN numbers are important since this is a popular series of physics books. Also, the ISBN numbers in the article are out of date and don't give good search results. The latest versions have different numbers:

  • vol. 1: "Mechanics" (3rd 0750628960)
  • vol. 2: "The Classical Theory of Fields". (4th 0750627689)
  • vol. 3: "Quantum Mechanics: Non-Relativistic Theory". (3rd 0750635398)
  • vol. 4: "Quantum Electrodynamics". (2nd 0750633719)
  • vol. 5: "Statistical Physics Pt. 1". (3rd 0750633727)
  • vol. 6: "Fluid Mechanics". (2nd 0750627670)
  • vol. 7: "Theory of Elasticity". (3rd 075062633X)
  • vol. 8: "Electrodynamics of Continuous Media". (2nd 0750626348)
  • vol. 9: "Statistical Physics Pt. 2". (1st 0750626364)
  • vol. 10: "Physical Kinetics". (1st 0080206417)
  • Landau, L. D.; and Lifshits, E. M. (1976). Mechanics (3rd ed.). London: Pergamon. ISBN 0-08-021022-8.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link) Vol. 1 of the Course of Theoretical Physics.

Son Alex[edit]

Possibly worth mentioning his rather notable son Alex [1].
Though I guess would need a source...
