Fair use rationale for Image:Greaterunion logo.gif[edit]

Image:Greaterunion logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons for adding unreferenced tag[edit]

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do much work in to this as I have to leave for work in a couple of minutes, but I added the unreferenced tag because there are no references in the entire article, and because I doubt that they were voted the world's worst cinema.

I did a quick Google for "greater union worst cinema" and in the first couple of pages of results couldn't see anything that said about them being voted the world's worst cinema.chrishill61 02:06, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Event Cinemas. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

4K Projection[edit]

The Vmax (and Gold Class?) screens at Event Cinema Damodar, Miranda, Pacific Fair, Springfield and North Lakes are equipped with Barco DP4k-32B projectors according to the Facebook page of "Edge Digital Technology". The Gold Class would be equipped with a smaller class projector, with the model unknown. With the lack of 4k DCP's, these projectors would be pixel doubling 2k to 4k.Versova (talk) 11:46, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit / potential Conflict of Interest / Advertising and promotion[edit]

Hi everyone.

There's been the advertising and promotion tag on this article for a long time, and I'm worried that some of the editors have a conflict of interest. I made quite a few big changes, including a more comprehensive history (they're pretty important in early Australian film history), removing puffery, adding pictures, and including news stories. I feel that I got rid of the advertising bit but I believe there was some stuff in the Experience section that can be included in a neutral way. Wasn't trying to ruin anyone's hard work!

Looking forward to making a great article with you. E ribbon toner (talk) 09:46, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Versova: - let's make a technology section??? E ribbon toner (talk) 10:20, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@E ribbon toner: - That would be good.

@Versova: Awesome! I guess we should try and make it more technological and less promotional? What you think? You should do it of course, I'm more into the history stuff. E ribbon toner (talk) 10:23, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
