"highly acute... vocals"

What does this even mean? If the sense is of "intense" vocals, surely it'd be better to just say "intense", since "acute" carries a connotation of "a bad, difficult or unwelcome situation" (e.g. "an acute shortage"; "the problem is acute and getting worse") (OED). "Acute" can also mean "shrewd" or "insightful", but surely if it were meant in this way it'd apply to the lyrics, rather than the vocals; or "shrill"/"high-pitched", which, having listened to Esoteric, seems kind of unlikely. tomasz. 16:08, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
