Stage Names[edit]

Can anyone explain why Hare (and Billy Jones) used so many "stage" names in their solo careers? Were they constantly on the run from the cops? Trying to hide revenue from the tax boys? There's sure to be a better reason.

That seems like a good question, they both seem to have done it individually before teaming up too. Maybe it was common back then or related to marketing/different labels etc? If anyone has any insight it's a good question anyway. I don't know if it's a reliable source but this has some info about different pseudonyms Hare used and mentions it in relation to different labels. Though it doesn't say that was the reason. I'm not sure if it counts as a reliable source but might be a starting point to look into? The person said they were writing a book about it and it was back in the 90s so maybe they've written it. Alternatively their name and email is there so maybe someone could contact them and ask if they have any information (which can be sourced of course).Drond Fishlock (talk) 11:19, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
