Not from Dunoon or even from Scotland[edit]

Can this information be expanded on? As there has been such confusion, it seems to be an important part of his story; however it isn’t clear from this if it was a case of a child born to itinerant Scots, who were in Cheshire at the time (which might make the Scots claim true, in the same way that Boris Johnson is regarded as English although he was born in the U.S. to visiting British parents, and Ian Hislop was born in Wales, but does not consider himself Welsh), someone who self-identified as Scottish having been born to Scots parents resident in England, or someone without (immediate) Scots heritage who merely adopted a background for some reason. I have looked at all the Campbells born in England and Wales in 1879, the only one this could conceivably be is an Alfred Campbell whose birth was registered in Salford in January-March 1879. However the dates aren't exactly right, I'm not sure Salford does coincide with Cheshire although there could be changes to local govt. and registration areas over the years. Pickford film[edit]

The article says he was cast in a Mary Pickford film, but it's not listed in the filmography and the release year is after his death. He's not mentioned in the film's Wikipedia article either. Did he ever shoot scenes for it, or should we add that he died before he could film his part of the film? 50.66.121.20 (talk) 19:25, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
