Eoentelodon was synonymized with Brachyhyops by Lucas and Emry (2004). See: Taxonomic history. Noles1984 (talk) 14:14, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not all authorities agree with this, especially those that have placed Eoentelodon together with Proentelodon in the subfamily "Proentelodontinae," [1].--Mr Fink (talk) 14:39, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
